CERAP Prévention joins Bureau Veritas in supporting EDF's EPR2 programme at Gravelines

CERAP Prévention is proud to support Bureau Veritas on the EPR2 programme at Gravelines, one of the most significant industrial projects in France for decades. As part of this long-term contract awarded by EDF, our teams will bring their recognised HSE expertise to help ensure the highest standards of health, safety and operational excellence throughout the project.

Supporting the next generation of nuclear energy

The EPR2 (Evolutionary Power Reactor 2) programme marks a major milestone in France's energy strategy. Designed to deliver a new generation of nuclear power plants, it will contribute to the production of reliable, low-carbon electricity while strengthening the country's energy sovereignty and supporting the long-term development of the French nuclear industry.

For the Gravelines project, EDF has appointed Bureau Veritas to deliver Construction Health and Safety Coordination (CSPS) and HSE prevention services under a 15-year framework agreement. Acting as a key partner to Bureau Veritas, CERAP Prévention will contribute its specialist expertise in risk prevention and HSE management to support the successful delivery of this major programme.

Combining complementary expertise

This partnership brings together two organisations with extensive experience in supporting major industrial and nuclear projects.

Bureau Veritas, a long-standing partner of EDF, will lead the Construction Health and Safety Coordination (CSPS) activities, while CERAP Prévention will provide dedicated HSE prevention expertise built on almost 40 years of experience in the nuclear sector.

The project team will include six Level 1 CSPS Coordinators and 21 HSE Prevention Specialists, ensuring a strong on-site presence and close support for all stakeholders throughout the different phases of the project.

Delivering the highest HSE standards

The EPR2 programme at Gravelines presents unique technical and organisational challenges, requiring the highest level of coordination, risk management and operational discipline.

Working alongside Bureau Veritas and EDF, CERAP Prévention will help foster a strong safety culture, support contractors in implementing best HSE practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of prevention measures across the construction site.

Our shared ambition is clear: to deliver one of France's flagship industrial projects while maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and operational performance.

A new milestone for CERAP Prévention

This partnership represents another important step in CERAP Prévention's continued growth and demonstrates the confidence placed in our expertise and the commitment of our teams.

It also marks the beginning of a significant mobilisation for our organisation, creating new opportunities for recruitment, skills development and knowledge transfer as we continue to support the future of the nuclear industry.

CERAP Prévention is honoured to contribute, alongside Bureau Veritas and in support of EDF, to the successful delivery of the Gravelines EPR2 programme and to play an active role in shaping the next generation of nuclear infrastructure in France.
